A Shopify quotation becomes useful when you understand what the business needs to launch, operate and grow.
The figures in this guide come from LeapOut’s historical engagements. They are planning references, rather than a Philippine market average or fixed packages. Compare the design, migration, integrations and support behind each price.
What is the cost of Shopify website development in the Philippines?
Our Shopify development services for full projects have started at approximately ₱380,000 before VAT for a clearly defined launch with a small catalog and standard functionality. A focused scope still includes work on the customer experience, configuration, testing and handover.
For the ₱380,000–₱650,000 planning range, adding 12% VAT brings the development budget to approximately ₱425,600–₱728,000. Subscriptions, licenses and ongoing expenses must be checked separately against the quotation.
Complexity changes the budget when the store must exchange data with existing systems, support specialized buying journeys or coordinate several operational dependencies. Our highest example below also included 12 months of technical support, so its total should be read as a broader engagement value.

A product count alone cannot explain the difference. Orders, inventory, customer information and existing systems also determine the implementation effort.

What is included in a Shopify development quote?
The signed scope defines the deliverables. A development engagement commonly covers these areas, with limits agreed before work begins.
Requirements, customer journeys, site structure, agreed page layouts, branding and the mobile experience.
Theme configuration and customization, explicitly scoped custom features, and an agreed number of products, variants and collections using client-supplied information.
Configuration of the agreed gateways, delivery rules and supported integrations.
Agreed analytics and conversion tracking, page titles, metadata, headings and technical elements — the foundations for SEO, AEO and GEO.
Functional and mobile checks, user acceptance testing and deployment.
Handover to the client’s team and a defined support period, commonly 30–60 days depending on the agreement.
For migrations, the quotation should identify which products, customers, historical orders, content and URL redirects will move. Shopify’s migration guide also treats data transfer, product verification, payments and test orders as distinct setup tasks. [1]
Product uploads and revision rounds need clear limits. Support should also specify how defects in agreed features are handled and how requests for additional functionality are quoted.
What drives the cost of a Shopify website?
Design is one part of the work. Complexity increases when the store needs to coordinate with the systems, data and workflows your business already uses.
Connections to business systems
ERP, POS, warehouse, accounting and loyalty connections can require data mapping, synchronization rules, error handling and testing. Installing a connector is one scope; making it work reliably with the business’s data and processes can be a much larger one.
Migration and data preparation
Clean product information is easier to move. Inconsistent SKUs, duplicate records, missing images, complicated product relationships and legacy URLs add work. The team needs to agree what will be cleaned, migrated, tested and retained before launch.
Specialized buying journeys
Quotation flows, weight-based pricing, customer-specific pricing, product configurators and quote-to-order processes require more investigation and testing than a standard purchase journey. The chosen approach must also suit the platform and available integrations.
Custom design and operational requirements
The number of unique templates, interactions and revision rounds matters more than page count alone. Multiple stores, warehouses, markets, fulfillment rules, mobile apps and loyalty touchpoints also increase the scenarios that need to work together.
Shopify Plus is a separate platform subscription. Development costs rise with the implementation requirements accompanying a project; selecting Plus alone does not explain the development fee.
How much does a Magento to Shopify migration cost?
It depends on the volume and condition of the data and the systems that must stay connected. LeapOut's largest migration example, for a major Philippine retailer with ERP, warehouse, loyalty and mobile-app dependencies plus 12 months of support, was about ₱1.95 million including VAT. A simpler migration with clean data sits much closer to the standard range.
“We price the work around what the business needs to launch and operate successfully.”
What are the ongoing costs of running a Shopify store in the Philippines?
Unless the quotation explicitly includes them, allow for Shopify subscriptions, premium themes, paid apps, external software, domain renewals, payment-processing charges and any applicable platform transaction fees. Shopify publishes its platform plans and applicable fee information separately from agency implementation services. [2]
Shopify plan prices in the Philippines (PHP)
Shopify bills Philippine merchants in US dollars. These are the published plan prices as of October 2026; the peso figures are approximate using the latest BSP rate available when this page was updated.
| Plan | Monthly billing | Yearly billing (per month) | Third-party payment provider fee | Approx. PHP (yearly) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | US$25 | US$19 | 2% | ≈ ₱1,206/month |
| Grow | US$65 | US$49 | 1% | ≈ ₱3,109/month |
| Advanced | US$399 | US$299 | 0.6% | ≈ ₱18,972/month |
| Plus | From US$2,300 | — (1- or 3-year term) | 0.2% | From ≈ ₱145,942/month* |

Annual plans are paid yearly; bank conversion rates and applicable taxes may differ. *Plus is a starting monthly equivalent on a three-year term, not a yearly-billed plan; confirm one-year and variable-fee terms with Shopify.
POS Pro is an add-on at US$89 per month per location. Shopify charges no setup fee.
Shopify payment gateways and COD in the Philippines
Shopify Payments is not currently offered to merchants based in the Philippines, so stores connect a third-party gateway and pay that gateway’s processing rate plus Shopify’s third-party provider fee for their plan (2% on Basic down to 0.2% on Plus). Common gateways LeapOut configures include PayMongo, Xendit, Dragonpay and PayPal, which cover cards, GCash, Maya and bank transfers. See Shopify Philippines pricing for the current plan fees.
Cash on delivery is set up as a manual payment method in Shopify and carries no Shopify third-party transaction fee. COD still needs courier integration and order-verification rules, which are part of the payments and shipping scope in the development quote.
One-time investment
- Design and development
- Agreed migration and setup
- Theme and other initial licenses
- Photography, copy and data preparation
Ongoing operating costs
- Shopify and app subscriptions
- Applicable payment and transaction fees
- Support and continued improvements
- Marketing and advertising
Content also needs a budget: photography, video, copywriting and product-data preparation. Custom applications may require external hosting or infrastructure. Advertising, ongoing marketing, maintenance and improvements beyond the support period are additional considerations. An agreed Shopify Care+ support retainer can cover continued technical support and improvements.
The easiest costs to overlook are recurring apps, transaction-related charges, data preparation and continued improvements. A theme license does not pay for its customization. An integration app subscription does not necessarily cover configuration, data mapping or troubleshooting.
Review a first-year budget alongside the build quotation: development and applicable VAT, one-time licenses and setup, recurring software and support, and transaction-related charges based on expected sales. Identify any services already bundled into the project total to avoid counting them twice.
Check what is already included in the quotation to avoid counting bundled costs twice.
How long does it take to build a Shopify website?
For planning, a standard build may be scheduled over approximately 6–10 weeks once requirements, access, content and product information are ready. A complex migration or custom application engagement may require approximately 14–20 weeks or longer. These are planning windows, rather than measured completion averages.
Delays commonly come from incomplete product information, changing requirements, slow approvals, unavailable access, payment-gateway onboarding and integration dependencies.
- A decision-maker who consolidates feedback
- Approved brand assets (logo, colours, typography)
- A product spreadsheet: SKUs, variants, prices, inventory, images
- Payment and shipping requirements by market
- Access to existing systems (ERP, POS, warehouse, current store)
- Target launch date and blackout periods
- Time allocated for testing and approvals
For an existing store, agree the migration and launch plan in advance. Keep the current site operational while the replacement is prepared and tested, and plan how changes made during development will be handled at launch.
Which Shopify budget is right for your business?
A business with a small catalog, standard payments and shipping, ready-to-use content and no complex migration or integrations may be able to test demand with a suitable theme, basic setup and training.
LeapOut is a strong fit when a business needs coordinated design, engineering, migration, integrations and operational handover. That can mean an established retailer changing platforms, an international brand localizing its store, a B2B company with a specialized buying journey, or a smaller brand seeking a professionally managed launch.
We recommend matching the investment to the business’s current needs and a realistic growth plan. Enterprise-level development can wait until the requirements justify it.
Building a Shopify store for the next five to ten years
Our vision is to build ecommerce platforms that can support a business over the next five to ten years. Plan how the store can evolve as its catalog, channels, operations and customer expectations change.
This horizon calls for maintainable development, clear documentation, reliable data flows and a team that can manage the store after handover. Continued performance also depends on maintenance, platform updates and ongoing improvements as the business grows.
A useful quotation should explain what the business needs now, what can be introduced later and which decisions will make future changes easier.
